Teacher: Mrs. Cheek / Mrs. McComasBiology - Grade 10Students demonstrate an understanding of the structure and function of living things and the interaction of living things with the physical environment. This course includes an understanding of the characteristics, structure and function of the cells, organisms and living systems. Students also demonstrate an understanding of heredity and the diversity of life, and an understanding of different scientific approaches and scientific issues that relate to life sciences. Academic Biology - Grade 10 (C average or better in 9th grade Academic Science is recommended)In this course students study the same concepts as in Biology but in more detail. Students use a college-prepatory textbook and are required to do more homework, including projects and reports. |
