Chemistry (Humpherys)

* It is recommended that students take, or have taken Algebra II

In this course students study the structure and properties of matter, understanding the physical and chemical changes in matter, history of atomic theory, writing of chemical equations, and  the energy changes involved in reactions. Other concepts covered include states of matter, gas laws and acid-base reactions,. This classis a problem-based course, so along with studying theory, students will use their math skills to problem solve.
