Chemistry - Grade 11 (It is recommended that students take, or have taken, Algebra II)
In this course students study the structure and properties of matter, demonstrate and understanding of the physical and chemical changes in matter, history of the atomic theory,
writing of chemical equations and the energy changes involed in reactions. Other concepts covered include states of matter, gas laws and acid-base reactions. This class is a problem-based course, so
along with studying theory, students will use their math skills to problem-solve.
