Course Description

Physics (Humphreys)

This course covers the concept of energy, energy transformation, interactions and conservation of matter and energy, forces and their effects on motion, safety, problem-solving and scientific method as applicable to the development and understanding of the physical world. It is recommended that the students enrolled should be in Academic Algebra II and have an A or B in Chemistry.

Students will work individually on engineering and design projects. Students will work both outside of the classroom and during class time to complete the projects. Examples  include but are not limited to the following: bridge building, catapult design, amusement park physics, etc.
