The vision of the Rock Hill Science Club is:
· to provide Rock Hill students with another outlet to express their scientific talents
· to enrich student learning with hands on activities and exposure to science not possible in the classroom setting
· to give students an opportunity to develop their science skills at a new level
· to give the students a philanthropic outlet to the community
Volunteer Work in 09-10
Students began a project last year to enhance the entrance to the Stadium. Students developed a plan and began raising funds. In the fall the yard monument welcoming visitors to the hill was set in place. Students began the ground work for the surrounding landscaping that will be completed in the spring.
Activities and Field Trips in 09-10
Students enjoyed a tailgater before a home football game. Lots of good food and fun was enjoyed by those attending.

Volunteer Work in 08-09
Members of the RHHS Science Club, Envirothon Class and other members of the student body have spent time working in cooperation with Chad Kirschbaum, botanist with the Wayne National Forest District Office. Many of them have collected seeds, planted, and/or transplanted plants in one or more of the Native Plant Pollinator Gardens. Their work can be seen at the Wayne National Forest Ranger Station, or at the garden the students constructed on the Rock Hill Campus (The west end of the high school.)

Field Trips in 08-09
Some Members of the RHHS Science Club took a field trip to the Wilds. The Wilds is a unique wildlife conservation center. It is located in southeast Ohio. Students were treated to viewing rare, endangered and indigenous species living in an open-range habitat. Students enjoyed educational tours of animal housing facilities and medical facilities. More information about The Wilds can be found on their website thewilds.org
Thank You To AEP For Their Contribution To Our Trip And To Our School For The Trip and Allowing Us To Go.
Another trip was taken to the New Port Aquarium. Students enjoyed a fun filled day full of aquatic fun. Students also had an opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds and food found at The Levee.
