Welcome to the Rock Hill High School Band. The following items will be needed as you plan for your experience with The "Pride of Lawrence County."
Items: Shoes - $25.00

Band Fee - $45 for single member ($65 for two family members participating)
Flip Folder - $5, except for flutes which is $14
Lyre - $5 (flutes do not purchase this)
Reeds - $2 each
Long socks – three pack $10
Valve oil - $5 (brass instruments)
Slide Grease - $3 (brass instruments)
Guard - Guard shoes - $25

Important facts to know:
BAND CAMP starts for percussion and guard on Tuesday, July 17th and for everyone else, including percussion and guard and winds on Wednesday, July 25th.
BALLGAMES are every Friday starting on August 24th for ten straight weeks.
There are only two COMPETITIONS scheduled currently for Saturday, September 29th and Saturday, October 6th. Both of these days are full complete days and local contests. We may also schedule one addition contest on Saturday, October 20th. And of course, pending the band qualifying for state we will be traveling to Dayton or Columbus on either Saturday, October 27th, or Saturday, November 3rd.
In addition, there are two PARADES associated with marching band. One parade is the Ironton Christmas Parade, which is on Monday, November 26th, 2007, and the Ironton Memorial Day Parade, which is on Monday, May 26th, 2008. Both of these parades will be required for your child to get full credit for high school marching band.
