This is a reminder that Rock Hill Middle School will be offering Summer School as an enrichment opportunity for students. Summer School will be held May 26th through May 29th and June 1st through June 4th from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM each day at Rock Hill Middle School.
We will be offering support in all core content areas, including Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. This is a great opportunity for students to strengthen skills, build confidence, and get a head start on the upcoming school year.
Breakfast, lunch, and transportation will be provided for all students attending.
Enrollment forms were sent home with students yesterday. Please complete and return the form to the school by Friday, May 15th to reserve your child’s spot.

Rock Hill Family Medical Center will be offering free sports physicals for the upcoming school year. They will be tomorrow April 28th and Wednesday April 29th. These will be for middle and high school students participating in sports next year. If you chose to have your kids physical at Rock Hill Family Medical Center, a clinic packet and physical form are required before the nurse will schedule their physical. Make sure you have your child check with their schools nurse to make sure all paperwork is up to date and if not, they can get the paperwork they need from the school nurse in their building.
We have received multiple complaints regarding parents that are utilizing dedicated handicap parking spots during after school pickup who do not have the proper handicap identification displayed on their vehicles. This is a violation of Ohio State law. We have several parents that have health/mobility issues that need the availability of these parking spots.
We appreciate your assistance in rectifying this matter. If this situation continues to be a problem, Rock Hill Local School District will have no other course of action but to contact Local authorities and ask for assistance.

The Rock Hill Local School District will be dismissing early on Monday April 20, 2026 due to a staff meeting.

Rock Hill Elementary will be having registration for preschool and Kindergarten on April 14th and April 15th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please bring a Birth certificate, an up to date shot record, Custody papers if applicable, and proof of residency for registration. If you are enrolling your child for preschool, please bring verification of household income with you also. Kindergarten kids must be 5 by August 24th, 2026.
This is a reminder that Rock Hill Middle School will begin our English Language Arts state testing tomorrow.
We want our students to know attendance is extremely important, try to avoid make up testing if at all possible. Testing with your class helps you stay in your routine and perform at your best. So make sure you are here and on time.

Per the Rock Hill Middle School administration, students will not be allowed to carry archery bows on the school buses. If a child uses their own bow, they must follow specific directives from the archery advisor to safely bring them to and from school. In the interest of safety, the decision is supported by the board of education and the middle school administration. Once again, no archery bows are allowed on school buses or school related vehicles. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Thank you for working with us.
To those who are picking up students at the end of the day at Rock Hill Middle School, we ask that your children remain in your vehicle or with you for safety purposes as you wait for your middle school child to be dismissed.
