As you are most likely aware, today, there were additional threats made online towards the Rock Hill community. Our team has been working diligently with the Lawrence County Sherriff’s Department to identify the individual or individuals responsible for these threats. Through this collaborative effort, the decision was made to place the high school in a “soft lockdown.” This decision was not made lightly and it was what we felt was the appropriate action given the information before us. Our district will use every resource available to us, to identify the individual or individuals responsible for these threats. No stone will go unturned in order to bring justice to this individual or individuals.
If any student or community member has any relevant information regarding these threats, please contact the Rock Hill Board of Education office or the Lawrence County Sherriff’s Department. Thank you.
