Rock Hill Local School district needs personal attendants to work one on one with students on an as needed basis. To qualify for the position, you must have or be able to obtain ESEA qualification on an Aid license from the Ohio Department of Education. Rock Hill Elementary will be having preschool and Kindergarten registration for the 2022-2023 school year on Tuesday, April 5th and Wednesday, April 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the elementary school front office. Must bring child's birth certificate, shot record, social security card, and custody papers (if applicable) and house hold income if registering for preschool.
Rock Hill Middle School will begin their state testing tomorrow. The Ohio State Tests for English Language Arts will be administered tomorrow, Tuesday, March 29th for all grades. Please get plenty of rest, charge your Chromebooks, and eat a healthy breakfast in the morning.
Rock Hill Middle School will offer a three tiered reward system this year for state testing.
1.) Good Faith Effort, as defined by teachers. This will include attendance, time management, and utilization of test strategies. Good Faith Effort must be shown on all parts of the test. This reward would be a Friday Cook-out on the hill with a beach ball volleyball tournament.
2.) Growth, this is improving your score even just 1 point over the previous year. This reward would be a chance to dunk one of the principals in the dunk tank. Improve on 1 test get 2 throws, improve on both tests you get 5 tosses.
3.) Proficient or Grow a Band, this reward is tied to scoring bands. If they score proficient or above on 1 test or if they grow a scoring band they get 2 hours of game time at Malibu Jacks. Proficient or grow a scoring band on both tests earn 3 hours of game time.
We are excited to offer these opportunities to all our students and look forward to seeing how they preform on the state exams in the coming weeks!
The Rock Hill Youth Rec. League Cheerleaders will host a spring fling dance in the elementary gymnasium on Saturday, April 2nd.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade students may attend from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
3rd through 6th grade students may attend from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Cheerleading sign ups will also occur in the cafeteria during this time for students entering kindergarten through 6th grades this fall.
A $25.00 sign up fee will be collected at the time of registration.
Additional sign up dates will be available in the coming weeks.
This is just a reminder that RHMS will begin ELA State exams for grades 6, 7, and 8 this Tuesday and Wednesday. We ask that students get plenty of rest each night, eat a good breakfast the day of testing, and put forth the best effort possible.
All games for today’s Wooden Bat Tournament have been cancelled.
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be taking the Ohio State Assessment for English Language Arts on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. We ask that all students make their best effort to be at school on time on these days. We also ask that families make sure the students' Chromebooks are charged when they come to school on these days.

Due to pending bad weather Rock Hill National Little League will be changing the times of their tryouts scheduled for Saturday March 12th at Rock Hill Elementary Gymnasium.
11/12 Softball will start at 1PM

9/10 Softball will start at 3PM
9/10 Baseball will start at 4PM
7/8 Softball will start at 5PM
7/8 Baseball will start at 6PM
There will be a parents meeting during each age divisions time slot in the Cafeteria.
Coaches will draft teams immediately after tryouts.
Tee Ball players do not tryout but coaches will select their teams at 7PM.

Rock Hill National Little League will be hosting their final player registration for tee ball, baseball and softball Saturday March 5th, 2022. Signups will be at Rock Hill Elementary School from 10AM to 2PM. Registration Fee is $40 plus one case of water donation. 2nd child is $35 and 3rd child is $25. Kids will be fitted for jerseys and fundraisers will be passed out as well. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate.
ALL Juniors will take the ACT at 8am on Tuesday, March 1st at the high school. You must be on time to start the test.
With the CDC no longer requiring masks on school buses, effective immediately Rock Hill Local Schools will move the mask mandate on school buses from required to strongly recommended, especially for those with pre-existing health conditions. Due to Rock Hill Middle School's parent teacher conferences this Thursday, February 17th, the middle school will not have after-school extended learning that day.
The Rock Hill LSD board of education will hold a special meeting on Feb. 17, 2022 at 8:00 am at the board of education offices to discuss and possibly appoint a new member to the board of education and/or any other business the board considers necessary to transact.
