Rock Hill National Little League will be holding tryouts for baseball and softball
Monday March 15th for 7/8 year olds and Tuesday March 16th for 9/10 year olds. Softball will start at 5:30 and baseball will report at 615. Coaches will hold private draft following each tryout. Tryouts will be moved to the elementary gymnasium.
Please use rear gymnasium doors. Also, only children can be present in the gym for tryouts unless you are registering a child. Tryouts will only last 30-45 minutes per age division. Children must wear a mask inside the school until the tryout begins. Thank You

Lawrence County Health Department will hold a Moderna covid vaccine clinic Friday, March 12, at the South Point Board of Education Building, 302 High Street, South Point. Walk-ins are welcome from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. This clinic is for ages 50 and above, pregnant women, and those with medical conditions that now include type 2 diabetes, ALS, and end-stage kidney disease. For a more complete list of all eligible groups within Phase 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, Phase 2A and 2B, please see the Covid-19 Vaccination Program at coronavirus.ohio.gov. The Rock Hill Family medical center will be offering dental services during school hours on Mondays & Wednesdays. If you would like for your child to participate contact the nurse in your child's building.
All Juniors, including those attending Collins Career Center, will be taking the ACT at the high school on Tuesday March 9th. You must arrive at the school by 8am to begin testing. The district will be providing lunch after the test.
The Rock Hill Local School District Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on March 11, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education office, 2325a County Road 26 Ironton Ohio, with some or all board members may choose to participate remotely via remote technology. While the general public will not be permitted in-person access to the Board meeting due to the Covid 19 restrictions put in place by the governor’s office, the public may access the Board of Education meeting via livestream. Anyone can view the meeting on Rock Hill Local School District Facebook page. Anyone wishing to speak with the board in person must make arrangements with the superintendent at least 72 hours before the meeting.
RHMS would like to remind students and guardians that tomorrow, March 5th, is our weekly virtual Friday. Life skills mathematics will be incorporated in tomorrow's enrichment rotation.

Rock Hill Local Schools will be on a 2 hour delay schedule tomorrow morning as a precautionary measure with current flooding conditions. Further assessment will occur in the morning. Be safe.
Personal Attendant needed for RHHS student attending Open Door School. Hours are 8:10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday $15.00 Per hour. Educational Aide permit as well as a background check that has been completed within the last year are required.
Applications can be picked up at the Rock Hill Board Office from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

The following enrichments will be offered at RHMS during virtual Friday on 2/26/21 at the building: History and Music Appreciation - Mr. Glenn, Art and Art Appreciation - Mrs. Dalton, Ohio History/Lawrence Co. History - Mr. Brammer, and Cognitive Solving of Escape Rooms - Miss. Shelby Dalton. Teachers will continue to assist students and provide additional assistance and services needed.

Virtual Students may come on Monday March 1st from 10:00 to 1:00 forms are available to pick up in the Elementary office.
Rock Hill Local Schools will be closed tomorrow 2/23/21 due to a combination of an extended boil water advisory, icy road conditions along with continued water and power outages throughout the district. Students will continue to learn virtually. Virtual Parent Teacher conferences will be tomorrow from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Teaching staff will need to report to your buildings during that time. Also, a reminder that students will continue virtual learning on Wednesday due to staff vaccinations. Be safe.
